The feeder is an essential part of a hive. It allows you to feed the bees in the spring, when the colony has consumed the last of its winter stores, or in the fall, after the harvest of honey.
The syrup used in the winter is lighter. Here is an ideal recipe for a fall feed.
Note that our feeders hold up to 12 litres of syrup and that the metal cover should remain on the chimney throughout the feeding period.
