Alvéole’s commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals
At Alvéole, we’re passionate about making a positive impact on the world. That’s why we’ve aligned our mission with some of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs are like a universal environmental and social to-do list for our world.

HOW ALVÉOLE ALIGNS WITH THE SDGS
At Alvéole, we are dedicated to SDGs 12 and 15. Let’s take a look at how that is reflected in our services.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
Target 12.8: By 2030, ensure that people everywhere have the relevant information and awareness for sustainable development and lifestyles in harmony with nature.
The core of our service is education through meaningful experiences. Through workshops, hive visits, and interactions with beekeepers, our clients gain a deeper understanding and awareness of the natural urban environment.
SDG 15: Life on Land
Target 15.a: Mobilize and significantly increase financial resources from all sources to conserve and sustainably use biodiversity and ecosystems.
We work towards this goal both internally and externally.
Internally, we are analyzing our supply chain and developing a list of standards and preferred purchasing recommendations for all departments to follow. In doing so, we will be working towards greening our purchasing power.
Additionally, we dedicate resources to the preservation of urban green spaces through our 1% for the Planet commitment.
Externally, our clients invest in Alvéole services in order to recognize the importance of directing financial flows towards sustainable development.
Target 15.5: Take urgent and significant action to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity, and protect and prevent the extinction of threatened species.
We have enhanced our products and services to meet the emerging needs of biodiversity research.
Our services now contribute to research on urban biodiversity and pollinator abundance. Through the use of data provided from Alvéole bee services, clients and partners will be in a position to make meaningful and scientifically relevant changes to their environment and property.
Target 15.9: Integrate ecosystem and biodiversity values into national and local planning, development processes, poverty reduction strategies and accounts.
We strive to influence pro-environmental decisions at individual, community, municipal, and global scales.
Our approach involves fostering partnerships with local communities, businesses, and governments. By working together, we create a harmonious urban ecosystem that benefits everyone – pollinators and people.
OUR JOURNEY WITH THE SDGS
Our alignment with these SDGs didn’t happen overnight. We followed a comprehensive process inspired by the SDG Compass.
This process involved:
- Hiring a full time ESG Advisor.
- Understanding the SDGs, their objectives, and their relevance to our mission.
- Integrating the SDGs into our company culture, mission, and practices.
- Setting specific, measurable goals that will help us contribute meaningfully to these objectives.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and the community to foster collaboration and build a shared commitment.
By following this process, we ensure that our actions have a real and positive impact on the world around us.
